  • Overview

    Develops and implements sales strategies, tactics, and marketing plans for all Freixenet portfolio brands in assigned on premise national accounts. Monitors and communicates progress of execution of customer programming, promotions, and pricing strategies to ensure attainment of goals and objectives. Works directly with senior management to develop strategies for program presentations and with regional sales managers to execute account specific sales and marketing plans.You must reside in either Chicago, Dallas or Southern California.

     

    Responsibilities

    Customer Management

    • Responsible for overall account direction (nationally and regional) by assuming leadership role for communication, collaboration and coordination of account channel resources...be an On Premise Channel expert and resource.
    • Responsible for HQ calls within assigned accounts, as well as, Regional/franchisee coverage buying calls throughout the country. Position collaborates with respective territory managers: Divisional, Regional and Area managers on programming, pricing and execution for those regional calls.
    • In collaboration with marketing, reviews data relevant to account/market/channel to convert insights to actions for key customer presentations.
    • Develops national customer plans and presentations; assumes ownership of attaining all relevant goals.
    • Partners with Division Directors to make sure the plans and tools are in place to deliver brand growth.

    Planning and Analysis

    • Leads/facilitates bi-annual account performance/planning reviews with assigned accounts that scorecard past performance (volume, compliance, performance evaluation) and incorporate Forward Planning sessions (ideally twelve month lead time)
    • Positions Freixenet to be “supplier of choice” by identifying customized marketing initiatives that enhances both Freixenet brand strategy and Customer profitability target
    • Engages Regional Managers in execution and compliance of national/regional customer programs
    • Directs analyst regarding establishing programming metrics, completing post-program analysis, and providing support documents for customer meetings. Conducts national customer performance reviews in accordance with customer planning.
    • Monitors and measures account level performance for key national and regional customers within assigned geography. Works with Division Director to develop gap closure measures.
    • Conducts annual channel and customer business review with On Premise leadership team and other key stakeholders to determine account selection criteria and matrix position.
    • Identifies market execution opportunities and communicates performance against objectives

     

    High Impact Communication

    • Maintains communication link with key distributor On Premise personnel regarding account programming, account compliance gaps, marketing strategy, and pertinent pricing issues.
    • Coordinates and plans ongoing distributor performance reviews with On Premise leadership in the distributor.
    • Provides feedback to Customer Marketing, Division and Brand leadership regarding plan programming and competitive intelligence
    • Coordinates communications of adjustments to plan based on performance and success within assigned Customer(s)/Channel(s).
    • Provides monthly account update and depletion recap report with commentary for plus/minus depletion variance (versus prior year) including buying patterns, and competitive intelligence.
    • Provides bi-annual customer overview for brand teams.

    Other Responsabilities

    • Participate in industry and consumer events, seminars, and shows as necessary.
    • Ensure that the FX/GF culture is consistently supported in all business and employee interactions, which includes both ethical and legal aspects, complying with federal and state laws and FX/GF company policies and procedures.     
    • At least monthly creates new ways to improve job performance.

    Education and/or Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in Business or related area, or equivalent years working experience in related area in lieu of degree required.
    • Minimum of five to seven years experience within the beverage or CPG industry, or 13+ years of relevant experience.  
    • Demonstrated ability to create, control, and maintain financial and/or business analyses, including budgets.
    • Demonstrate experience designing, developing, and implementing market plans that achieve sales growth.
    • Excellent strategic and tactical skills; demonstrated ability to implement and adapt national programs to the field.
    • Current knowledge of the market, distributors and buyers in that area.
    • Team player: Able to put the needs of the overall Freixenet business above the specific needs of the territory or team.
    • Seeks out opportunities to collaborate with leaders in other channels and territories. Keeps relevant parties informed of activity and seeks similar behavior from the area team.
    • Strong interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all members of extended brand teams.
    • Positive Attitude with Business Growth mindset.
    • Advanced ability with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Experience and demonstrated ability with Diver, AC Nielsen &/or Trade Pulse.
    • Must have a valid driver’s license.
    • Ability and willingness to travel 50% of the time, including some weekends
